Buying Used Cell Phones

It would be great if we could all have a brand new cell phone to use. Teenagers especially look forward to the day when they can pick out their very own. However, in some cases it is more practical to buy one that is used instead of spending $200. Just make sure that you follow the right steps to getting something that will work.

Provider

The first thing you have to do is decide what cell phone provider you will be working through. Compare the various plans that each one has to offer and decide what will be best for you and your family.

Cell Phone

Now that you know what company to work with you will have a list of cell phones to choose from. It is important to remember that each provider has their own list of phones that they use. If you wanted to have an iPhone than don’t expect to work with anyone except AT&T.

Where To Buy

The best places to purchase the one that you want is to go through online auction sites like Craigslist or eBay. You will find dozens of people or stores that will be selling what you want. The trick is to find something that is actually in working order.

Review The Seller

Look at the information of the person who is selling the item. Do they have good reviews? What type of negative reviews do they have? Also look at the pictures provided and see what kind of shape it is in. If there are no pictures than don’t even consider buying from that person.

Purchasing Info

Make sure that the person you are buying from has a money back guarantee or return policy. I make it a rule never to buy anything from someone who is not willing to replace something that might be broken or defective.
